Testimonials about the preliminary version of Italian To Go
Italian to Go Travel Language Guide
Reviewed:
You’ve attended 15 Italian beginner’s lessons and you arrive in Italy tired after a delayed flight. You know how to pronounce Italian words, but the phrases are elusive. This is where the Quick Access Phrase Book is most valuable. Small enough to fit into your jacket pocket, or handbag, its user-friendly index guides you instantly, but unobtrusively, to direct your taxi to the hotel, to order the pizza of your choice, or to choose that leather handbag from the many on display. In short, it foresees every possible situation that you are likely to encounter whether it is routine or emergency. Until you have completely mastered the Italian language, this guide will perform well above its weight.

“Having travelled to Italy twice in the last couple of years, and now having read through the Italian To Go Phrase book in Juliana’s class, I found it covered many everyday topics that you would come across when in Italy as a tourist. The layout was easy to follow, and it was concise and to the point. I look forward to taking the phrase book with me to Italy next time I go. The size of the book will fit perfectly in a pocket or my travel handbag, and I like the spiral binding as easy to turn the pages over”.

“I took the Italian To Go phrase book with me to Italy in September 2009 and found it very helpful and easy to carry around with me. The book has some extremely good conversational translations; some of which I have not seen in other phrase books. The section on food was fantastic, especially the Italian Menu Guide which was very handy in a restaurant. it gave so many different phrases that you could never go wrong! Another great section was the clothing sizes which was good when shopping. The size of the book was perfect – it was flat and light and slipped easily into my bag and wasn’t heavy at all... I will definitely be taking Italian To Go phrase book with me on my next Italian adventure!

Hello everyone,
Welcome to the Italian Courses.
I have re-scheduled the second Italian For Travellers Workshop from 3 March to 10 March to avoid the long weekend. I don't normally teach on long weekends because people often have plans. (Can you please let me know if that is a problem for you?)
So the new class dates for Workshops 1 and 2 will be:
Workshop 1: Saturday 25 February from 2:00pm to 5:00pm.
Workshop 2: Saturday 10 March from 2:00pm to 5:00pm.
The class dates for Workshops 3 and 4 will be:
Workshop 3: Saturday 24 March from 2:00pm to 5:00pm.
Workshop 4: Saturday 31 March from 2:00pm to 5:00pm.
I look forward to meeting you at the first class.
Kindest regards,
Juliana.
Update from Juliana: Necessary Change to Class Dates
Hello everyone,
Welcome to the Italian Courses.
Last night I returned to Perth after a trip to Melbourne, Wellington and Canberra. Unfortunately, last night I also came down with a bad throat infection and feeling very weak. I went to see the doctor today and she said that I have pharyngitis and that I am contagious while I have a fever. She advised me to postpone the classes.
Therefore, I have to follow the doctor's advice and to postpone the classes by two weeks, to get over the infection with bed rest and then to regain my energy levels for teaching.
The new class dates for Workshops 1 and 2 will be:
Workshop 1: Saturday 25 February from 2:00pm to 5:00pm.
Workshop 2: Saturday 3 March from 2:00pm to 5:00pm.
The new class dates for Workshops 3 and 4 will be:
Workshop 3: Saturday 24 March from 2:00pm to 5:00pm.
Workshop 4: Saturday 31 March from 2:00pm to 5:00pm.
If you have already registered for a course, I apologise for any inconvenience this necessary change to the class dates may cause you. Can you please let me know whether this creates a problem for you or not? Thank you. If you need to withdraw from the course, I will give you a full refund.
I look forward to meeting you at the first class.
Kindest regards,
Juliana.
